This year I will be starting my 26th year in education.  I graduated from Holliday High School and completed my bachelor's degree at Midwestern State University.  I started my career in August 2000 in the classroom teaching Spanish and coaching volleyball and basketball at Forney High School.  While there, I completed my master's degree in educational leadership through Texas A&M Commerce in 2009.  I spent 12 years at this school and then had the opportunity to move back to my home area of Wichita Falls in 2013 for an Assistant Principal position at McNiel Middle School.  I spent time at McNiel as the AP and then transitioned into the Principal role in 2018.  In August of 2024, I completed my doctorate in Educational Leadership through Midwestern State University.  I was part of the first doctoral program and it was exciting to get this program off the ground and bring more candidates into the program.

I was so excited when the opportunity came for me to serve the community and schools of Henrietta ISD.  I've enjoyed meeting staff who are dedicated to the district motto of "All in for Excellence" here in HISD.  I'm a positive person and love to see staff and students reach their full potential.

In the picture is my husband, Jeremy, who serves as the accountant for First Baptist Church in Wichita Falls.  We are active in church through our Life Group class.  I also sing in our choir and serve on the Praise Team.  This is my favorite pastime to take part in one each Sunday!  I have a son, Tristan, who has blessed me with two twin grandchildren, Layah and Maverick, who are 7 years old.

I'm excited to be a part of the making Henrietta Junior High the BEST!
