The 2025-2026 school year will be my fourth year at Henrietta Junior High School, and my eighth year in Henrietta ISD. I am honored to be the leader of a phenomenal staff at HJH. We have a team mentality with the focus being on the overall growth of our students. Junior high is a critical age in students’ development as they go through the challenging age of transitioning from childhood to a young lady or gentleman, and we focus on the overall development for our students to be able to take the next steps in their lives toward adulthood.

This is my first year as the principal for Henrietta Junior High, but not my first in HISD. I served as the assistant principal here at HJH for the three previous years. My experience also includes 15 years as a classroom teacher and coach, 2 years as the assistant principal at Henrietta High School (2015-2017), 3 years’ experience as a high school principal and 2 years’ experience as an elementary principal.

I have been married to my wife Victoria for 29 years, and our son Shane is an 8th grader here at HJH.

I am from Vernon, Tx. I have my masters’ degree from Lamar University and my bachelor’s degree from Midwestern State University. I am a former Unites States Marine and enjoy reading about history and spending time with my family and being out in nature.
