Good evening, everyone!
Just a quick reminder — we’ve only got three weeks of summer left! Fall sports are coming fast, and you don’t just beat people on game day — it takes time, preparation, and effort long before kickoff.
You’ve got to train your body to handle the heat, the pressure, and the grind. I’m proud of everyone who’s been showing up and putting in the work, but we need everyone locked in and ready by August.
Let’s finish summer strong.

Tomorrow marks the start of our final 4 weeks of Strength & Conditioning!
Let’s finish strong—together. As Coach Nick Saban says:
"One thing about team sports is you’ve got to work together. If everyone doesn’t do their job, you don’t have a chance."
Let that mindset guide us this week. Come in ready to push yourself and your teammates. We’re building more than strength—we’re building a championship culture across all sports.
Let’s work. Let’s lead. Let’s win—together.

Thank you to everyone that came out last night to meet Coach Darneal! We are excited to have him on staff!

Henrietta ISD Board Attends Statewide Leadership Training to Strengthen Governance and Support for Students
Members of the Henrietta ISD Board of Trustees recently joined other school leaders from across the state at the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Summer Leadership Institute, held in San Antonio and Fort Worth. The conference offered in-depth learning sessions on everything from school finance and policy updates to leadership and community engagement.
Board members attended sessions tailored to both new and experienced trustees, diving into real-world challenges and learning from fellow board members across Texas. Superintendent Jaime Clark, who attended alongside the board, said the group’s dedication to continued learning is one of the things that makes Henrietta ISD special.
“Our board members don’t just show up to meetings. They show up to learn,” Clark said. “They ask smart questions, stay curious, and genuinely want to make the best decisions for our students and staff. Their involvement in this kind of training says a lot about how seriously they take their role.”
Board President Brad Yurcho said the experience reaffirmed the importance of ongoing education for school board members.
“We don’t take this responsibility lightly,” Yurcho said. “Attending the Summer Leadership Institute helps us stay informed and focused on what matters most. We want to make the right decisions for the future of our schools.”
Henrietta ISD has made board development a priority in recent years, recognizing that effective governance plays a key role in student success. The board plans to continue attending the institute each summer as part of its commitment to strong, student-centered leadership.
