HJH Parents --
This Thursday (9/25) our 7th/8th football teams take on the Stamford Bulldogs! HJH will have a pep rally at 2:00 pm to get the students and players pumped up for competition. Our dress up theme is 'Dress as your Favorite Minion'. We want to remind parents and students that our normal dress code guidelines are still in effect even when dressing up to match a theme. The main points are:
* shorts/skirts must meet the length requirement of the bottom of the fingertips, additionally, shorts/skirts worn WITH LEGGINGS must meet this requirement; no short-shorts
* leggings with shirts that cover the bottom even when arms are raised
The pep rally this week is at 2:00 to accommodate an early start to the games. Remember, if you plan to attend, you must be checked in. You can use the Fast Pass (link below) to have a visitor’s badge waiting for you. If you’ve never checked in through the office for any other reason, you’ll need to do that in order to complete the Fast Pass. Or you can check in through the office on the day of the pep rally but please note there may be a line for check in.

GO BEARCATS!!!

Mrs. Browning loves when her students keep learning and exploring. Today, they did the same experiment in an 8 oz bottle and a 12 oz bottle. Before going outside, the students had to write down their hypothesis. Many stated that the cork would fly off higher in the smaller bottle (8 oz). Their reason was that more pressure in a smaller space will create a bigger reaction. What happened?
What's your hypothesis? Talk about it with your child at home! Ask them which bottle had the highest cork popping!
Check out the video.

Junior High Pep Rally - Visitor Pass
We are having our 1st pep rally on Thursday 9/11/25 at 3:00 PM in the HJH gym. All guests must be signed in through our Raptor screening app in the office. If you have been screened in the office previously, you can fill out the Fast Pass Google form and have a guest badge waiting for you at the gym door. If you have not been screened previously, you have two options: Option 1 is to come in before noon Thursday and get screened in the office. Option 2 is to come in and get screened right before the pep rally. Option 2 might take a while determining on how many people need to be screened. My suggestion is to come in and get screened before noon on Thursday. In order to be screened, you need to come by the office and present the secretary with a valid driver's license.
I have attached the link to the Fast Pass Google form.
Thank you and we will see you Thursday at the pep rally,

Henrietta Junior High's own Ms. April at the Dallas Cowboys Game!
"Ms. April was one out of the twenty Army National Guard members selected for flag detail for the Dallas Cowboys August 22nd, 2025. She is a signal support specialist, and has been in the Army for 6 years! She helped carry out the American flag during the national anthem. She was also recognized by the Dallas Cowboys during the game! It was a once in a lifetime experience!

This exciting retelling of the familiar fairy tale is full of mirth and melody as Goldilocks is brought to court to face the charges of breaking and entering the Bears' cottage. After the hard-of-hearing judge calls the court to order, the clerk presents the traditional story. Then the lawyers take over to present their sides of the case. In rollicking enactment's—with the jury playing tables, chairs, beds and forest animals—the stories unfold. Guilty or innocent? Was the young girl a selfish, spoiled brat, intruding where she didn't belong? Or was she the victim of three conniving bears (and their animal "band of hoods" in the woods)? The surprising verdict from the jury—along with the judge's unique sentencing—bring this charming musical to a highly satisfying "happily-ever-after" conclusion.
